It Keeps crashing - Megatron - 2014-08-02 Hi, it seems more than half the time I go to play a movie or TV show it crashes...it buffers and plays the sound for a second (but no video) and then crashes (XBMC has stopped working... windows is checking for a solution). I am using Windows 7 64. I don't know if it is just Gotham, i have tried 13...13.1 and now 13.2 beta (fresh installs) with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. RE: It Keeps crashing - teeedubb - 2014-08-02 Nobody is going to be able to help you without a debug log (wiki) RE: It Keeps crashing - Megatron - 2014-08-02 I don't know if I did it correctly, it gave me three links, Debug.XBMC.log ....debug XBMC old.log .....XBMC crash log XBMC old log? http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=258760 RE: It Keeps crashing - teeedubb - 2014-08-02 Im no expert but it looks like dxva is having issues, have you tried updating your gpu drivers? And not with ones from MS/windows update, but from amd? Everything works fine after that... now it only does it on the first video I play when XBMC first starts up. I'm gonna do a fresh install and see if it works fine now, updating the drivers definitely helped, thanks. RE: It Keeps crashing - Megatron - 2014-08-02 I reinstalled XBMC, it seems it still does it just for the first video I play when XBMC first starts up. I click to play video, it plays audio of the video for a couple of seconds then stops....after that I can play what ever video without and more problems. (so far anyway) At least it doesn't crash anymore, it's just a minor annoyance now. http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=258786 RE: It Keeps crashing - WiSo - 2014-08-02 http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=190254 RE: It Keeps crashing - afedchin - 2014-08-02 @Megatron, Can you try this build - XBMC Gotham for AMD HD2xxx-HD3xxx? RE: It Keeps crashing - moravec - 2014-08-03 Is there then a problem with amd drivers or gotham in general. I also have this problem, xbmc is crashing after some minutes into the movie. Then at the second try it works... But I don't have HD2/HD3 have another one... Christian RE: It Keeps crashing - teeedubb - 2014-08-03 Read the second post.
