RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - xDetoursx - 2017-09-22

Hi p, my KJB skin stopped working. The guide only loads with the default look even though I have KJB set as the default. Any recommendations? Should I uninstall KJB and reinstall it?

I've trying to automate building my repo recently so that might have messed up the KJB skin.
What versions of everything have you got installed? kodi, tvgf, kjb

Windows 8.1 Kodi v18 x64 install from 9/21/2017

TFGF - 0.17.375
KJB 0.17.6

I expect it is the new way they've done string functions in kodi 18.0.
I've added fixes for the main skins but not kjb's.
I'll see if I can add a fix over the weekend.
Kodi 17.4 with KJB 0.17.6 works ok for me still.

Yeah, I don't know. I'm running it on another Windows machine with v18 and it's working fine. The only difference I can think of is that I'm running a different skin on the one that's not working right now. Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO

https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=210069

The working machine is using the standard Confluence skin. Not sure if that makes a difference though

It might be a missing font type in the silvo skin.
Do you know how to look for them in the xml files?
The fonts are in the kodi skin file font.xml I think.

Not quite but that is part of the puzzle.
Look up one level to the 720 folder to find the font.xml file.
That defines a lot of font names like font13 etc.
In kjb's skin file there is a ...main.xml file which has got all the epg controls in it.
Controls that need a font have a <font> attribute.
If that font isn't in the font.xml file it might be causing some problems.

Is it just kjb that give you problems?

OK, here's a pastebin link to .xml. Not sure if you can attach files in the post. There wasn't a 720 folder though, apparently they named it 16x9 in Silvo

Yes, it only seems to be the KJB skin.

It's working for me.
I installed this on Win7 64.
KodiSetup-20170921-f3f144a953-master-x64.exe
from
http://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/windows/win64/master/
I installed my repo, TVGF, KJB.
I tested the Default and KJB skins.
Then I installed the silvio skin and TVGF with KJB still worked.

Try that sequence for me to see if it is something else.
Press the KJB icon twice to make sure the new textures get used. It needs some texture renaming in all the skins to fix that glitch.

Well that's reassuring to know that the skin works. I was afraid you'd recommend that though. My TVGF is highly customized right now with logos, categories and arranged channels and is running like a champ, I'd hate to have to redo it all. I do have a back up of the addon_data folder, so I'll take a look a little later. Thanks

I'd recommend making a portable install and comparing the differences on the tvgf settings.xml files.
kodi.exe -p

If it is only the KJB skin it should be one of the settings in Appearance or Lab1.

primaeval, thank you so much for this awesome add-on!

Is there a way to get a slim list of the tv shows that are currently playing instead of the full tv guide? Something like what is available in the native Kodi PVR system:

I like being able to see only what it currently on and not being distracted by all of the other shows that are coming down the pike later on in the day.

You probably want the Now list which you can get to using the 2 key or the Now button on the mouse popup or pressing Up when the channel is playing.
You can get to the Next list with the 3 key or Next button or going right from the Now list.

This might be a simple question, but what "Software You Use" Option should you select when registering on Schedules Direct?
