Issue with Kodi Crashing - DarcMan - 2019-10-25

I am experiencing an issue with Kodi 18.3 & 18.4 crashing when I press the escape key to exit the intro video.  Any ideas how to fix this?

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

The instructions are here... debug log (wiki)

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Use the Kodi Paste Site. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum

This problem is happening on a fresh Kodi install. It only happens when you press the escape key during the intro video.

I don't see any crashing in that log, but I do see an Audio problem which could be the cause of it.

Switch to WASAPI in the Kodi settings 1.1 and 3.1 and see if that makes a difference... https://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/System/Audio

Switched to the WASAPI and the problem remains.

Don't press escape then ?

Or alternatively, delete the intro video from the skin. C:\Users\dap09\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\skin.aeon.nox.silvo\extras\intro.mp4

Thank you

While I am aware of that option it would only be applying a bandaid to the problem.

I thought this forum was to solve Kodi problems and that why I am bringing this flaw found on Leia. This problem does not happen with Krypton.

Kerellen were you able to recreate the problem?

RE: Issue with Kodi Crashing - Karellen - 2019-10-26

No, I was not able to confirm the problem. As I said in my previous post, I see no signs of any crashing, which makes me wonder if you uploaded the correct log because the below line indicates you initiated a clean shutdown...
2019-10-25 05:26:34.496 T:20988 DEBUG: CAnnouncementManager - Announcement: OnStop from xbmc

Just be aware of the difference between kodi.log and kodi.old.log as explained here... Debug Log
