- Angelscry - 2010-12-31 fr500 Wrote:Yes all my launchers are standalone. Is there a difference on the XML between both? I haven't found one, even on standalone launchers it adds empty <rom> tagsFor stand alone launchers you do not need to pass the path of the roms as arguments. So it is normally more simple. I was able to reproduce your error with firefox. You can use this "bug" to pass parameters to firefox or vlc. For example if you put "http://www.xbmc.org" as argument for firefox it will open the XBMC.org at start. What is it strange is that I have never touch the way the stand alone launchers were started since the old version of the launcher. I will make some tests and try to use the same method I actually use to with roms . - fr500 - 2010-12-31 Ok, let me know if I can be helpful. Also seems no matter what I do BOXEE can't be launched from your launcher, It just crashes lol but it's totally unrelated - Angelscry - 2010-12-31 fr500 Wrote:Ok, let me know if I can be helpful.I have just make some tests, using different method to start Firefox, using subprocess.call() or System.Exec() function, by removing the arguments support, etc... Firefox always start with the firefox.exe content. Really strange... - BORIStheBLADE - 2010-12-31 Angelscry Wrote:I think there is a problem of configuration with your Nestopia launcher. Could you post here the content of your launchers.xml file? (using pastebin service for example). Ya for sure! Where is it located? - fr500 - 2010-12-31 Angelscry Wrote:I have just make some tests, using different method to start Firefox, using subprocess.call() or System.Exec() function, by removing the arguments support, etc... I have a batch file and a method for launching steam games and then closing steam without any user interaction - htpc guy - 2010-12-31 Angelscry Wrote:It's strange, for me it is the opposite. ESC is doing nothing and Echap is working. I'm using the same Windows version as you. Seems that if is related to the language version of Nestopia. Echap if the french translation of ESC. I will fix the wiki page. Thank you for your feedback. Your French right? Probably has nothing to do with Nestopia. More likely its the regional setting for windows. For English Escape is ESC. For you it would be ECHAP. Both are right, it just depends on where you live. - osirisjem - 2010-12-31 Is this Advanced Launcher available for Plugin Download directly from xbmc 10 ? I see Launcher, but not Advanced Launcher ! - BORIStheBLADE - 2010-12-31 osirisjem Wrote:Is this Advanced Launcher available for Plugin Download directly from xbmc 10 ? Go to the first page of this thread. Download the XBMC-Repository file. Unpack it into your Addons folder. After that it will pop up when you search the list of addons in the programs section. - htpc guy - 2010-12-31 Angelscry Wrote:It's strange, for me it is the opposite. Launching steam games - fr500 - 2010-12-31 Here is a little tutorial for those who have steam and launch and depend on it for your gaming needs. Step 1: Create a shortcut to the game on the desktop (on steam right click and create desktop shortcut) the launcher will have a .url extension since steam registers itself as a protocol and launchers are steam://rungame:appid Step 2: Move the shortcut to the place where you have your launchers or artwork or whatever Step 3: Create a batch file like this: Code: @echo off Step 4: Create your XBMC launcher pointing to the batch file you created Step 5: If you want to get rid of the ugly DOS window you need to be redundant and create a shortcut to your batch file and point ALA to that instead of the .bat. This has to be done editing launchers.xml since ALA does not allow you to select .lnk files as executables Hope it's helpful this should work for any app that spawns another process under a different imagename or to track any process that is causing ALA not to come back - osirisjem - 2010-12-31 BORIStheBLADE Wrote:Go to the first page of this thread. Is there a short story why this Launcher isn't listed in the Programs Plugins from the XBMC interface ? - nekoarashi - 2010-12-31 AHHH THANK YOU Angelscry, that was my fault LOL for having that unchecked it looked like it was checked in the lolskin I was using.. >< Anyway, new issue, it stops scraping midway through and just decides to scrape nothing. WHat file do you need me to show you to aid this issue? THank you soooo much for all the tech support =) - TheHazel3yes - 2010-12-31 BORIStheBLADE Wrote:I was thinking about it, but 1. It's working out of the box, but with xboxdrv installed it's even better 2. Sure, just use mednafen (NES, GB) and zsnes 3. It's very easy Just follow this thread http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=533217&postcount=1 and you're set. - The-Boxhead - 2010-12-31 Thanks for the links guys for mupen64plus and mame. But there are a few problems with the wiki. On linux sdlmame and mame is the now same in the repos. Code: sudo apt-get install sdlmame Code: sudo apt-get install mame And the directory /usr/bin/sdlmame is no longer valid. It's now just /usr/games/mame for the executable and the ini file is found here: /etc/mame And with mupen64plus: If you just do Code: sudo apt-get install mupen64plus Also you should add for rom extensions n64, on the wiki it's just z64 and zip so it would be n64|z64|zip If you choose to use 1.99 which is not in the repos so you cant do apt-get install. You need to download the package from the official site and unpack it some temp place. Go into the mupen64 directory you unpacked and Then install with the install script: Code: sudo sh install.sh But i bellive there is problems due to what i found here on the web: Code: Describe the problem: Any linux peaople who can spoonfeed the commands ? Would be nice to see if this fixes my problem and we could update the wiki. - The-Boxhead - 2010-12-31 Okay got vice c64 to function also So i post info here if someone else want to try. First of all: Code: sudo apt-get install vice Add the vice emulator to advanced launcher, navigate to the following location /usr/bin/x64 then add the following startup arguments: -fullscreen -autostart "%rom%" Then add some roms on desired location, you should add a few since i discovered that som of my roms didnt load. You need also to add the needed bios files. Download the source package from this link http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/crossplatform/emulators/VICE/vice-2.2.tar.gz Unpack the tar.gz file and find the directory data\c64 you need to copy the following files: kernal basic chargen Copy these 3 files into /usr/lib/vice/C64 x64 should now launch. use a mouse and right click the emuscreen and choose "save Settings" from that menu. You must do this to get a config file in the following location: \home\username\.vice if default live install it would be \home\xbmc\.vice Now tweak this config file to get better display Code: sudo nano /home/xbmc/.vice/vicerc I editet the following: SaveResourcesOnExit=0 ConfirmOnExit=0 WindowWidth=1280 WindowHeight=720 UseFullscreen=1 VICIIDoubleScan=1 VICIIDoubleSize=1 VICIIFullscreen=1 VICIIXRANDRFullscreenMode=1 VICIIVidmodeFullscreenMode=1 Three problems is still unsolved: Getting my gamepad working a way to use gamepad to quit vice no sound |
