I build a new HTPC, pretty basic: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/nvenayak/saved/3Dx1

For some reason I'm getting seemingly spontaneous black screens which last about .5 seconds and repeat either once or for an extending period (~30 sec). I'm not sure if this is XBMC specific or if it is a power draw issue from the power supply (I have about 4 HDDs in the case). Temps seem normal around 35C.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be or know steps I could take to pinpoint the problem?

probably need more info, using linux or windows? openelec? probably need a log file too...

Windows 7. Log file for XBMC? Are those stored somewhere or do I need to generate it?

Edit: Found how to start logging, will repost when the problems occurs agains.

Is there a way to hide the overlay? The problem happens intermittently and watching TV with the overlay is distracting!
