I messed it up

I was running Milhouse Openelec development builds (kodi 17) for the rpi2 version and decided to switch to Milhouse LibreElec development builds (kodi 17). The change worked without a problem but after trying to install the emby addon I was told by Emby that my version of Kodi isn't supported.. So I had to find a way to install kodi 16 jarvis.
Stupid me, I decided to remove addon Openelec configuration. After I removed that addon I first tried to go back from Milhouse LibreElec kodi 17 to Milhouse OpenELec kodi 17 but aftter reboot Kodi got stuck in a continuous loop. When I go into the update folder I see 1 file? named SYSTEM.

My question: Is there a way to get out of this loop and install Kodi 16.1 for the RPI2 without scanning my whole library again and loose about TV-Shows already watched an not?

Thanks a lot

you could try to unplug the SD card, plug it into a normal pc, download the specific tar file for the distro you want:

http://openelec.tv/get-openelec/category...pi2-builds

or

https://libreelec.tv/download-temp/

then delete the existing file in the update folder and replace it with the downloaded *.tar file. After that is done, plug the SD card in your Pi again and try to boot it.

If that fails, you could try to copy/backup the complete userdata folder the same way like above (unplug the card and plug to a PC). And then do a fresh install and copy the userdata folder over again. That should bring everything back. Might be, you will loose your watched status, unfortunately.
