not really, it's great suggestion. if price isn't a concern as voip put it, this one should fit your bill- silverstone CW02. it's very well built too!

Yes, you can turn it on and off with the remote. The imon display comes with an inline adapter for the 24 pin motherboard connector.

I love my small form factor box that I'm rebuilding that runs xbmclive. The thing is rock solid and just works every time you turn it on. I'd moved away from linux working with windows servers at work but I'm back to being a big fan of linux. The OS is so solid compared to windows platforms.

Just be aware that the E6 you linked is the "Branded" one that has a giant WESENA case logo on the front, that's why it's cheaper.

I think the giant logo is on the ITX6 and 7, first batch. The logo on the E5 and E6 are much smaller. For 10$ more you have one without a logo I think. At least on perfect home theater store.

I agree with the easier comment but disagree with better. xbmclive/linux is free. Windows 7 costs 100+ per machine. A linux box is WAY more stable than a W7 box. I agree to use W7 if you want to do anything other than XBMC on the computer but for a set-top media appliance, xbmclive/linux is the way to go.

not really, i built 4 htpc's with w7+xbmc. it works flawless so far. i am able to enjoy bd in 1080p w/ dts-hd and truehd with my less than powerful htpc's (e7200 with hd5570, e350m1 with gt430, etc) using either xbmc or 7mce. w7 allows me to fully integrated hd netflix, directv2pc, network avr, ps3, etc. wit proper settings, everything works as advertised!

as long as bd playback work with w7+xbmc and 7mce, it is fine w/ me!
