Not sure about upgrading to Nightly
#1
My HTPC been up and running for about 3 weeks, playing around with setting creating NFO files editing files via SSH............every thing is running great
this is the version I started with via USB tumbdrive
Generic.i386-devel-20111108151718-r8750.................Im not sure if there is a stable version after this................but if there is would it be worth to upgrade.

Or will the autoupdates take care of this also, or nighties have to be installed manual.

So where do I stand.........go for it or let it ride
Thanks for a great forum.....one project I did brake the bank

That looks like OpenELEC. You're better off asking them how updates work.

Given that I found that file in:
http://sources.openelec.tv/tmp/image/openelec-eden/
I'm going to guess that it's pre-eden.

Stuff breaks.

Autoupdate only works between stable builds, so this will not work with nightly pre-eden builds. However, this is how to update OpenELEC:
http://openelec.tv/installation/updating
And the url darkscout pasted is correct, the latest build as of now is from 29. nov.
