You might be able to use a pin or other fine-pointed object to depress the metal tabs on the back of the plastic connector to release each of the wires. Do that for both fans. You can then insert the wires from your new fan into the old plastic connector (which is compatible with your HDD caddy).

I just gave that ago and the crimps are a totally different size. If it was possible to pry open the crimps I could probably get it to work but they are too small and tight.
If I can't find anything by tomorrow I'm gonna cut the wires and solder them together.

Or simply file down the locators on the new connector until it fits.

The new one is bigger so even if I file the plastic down the plug wouldn't stay on the pins because it will be too slack.
