Hey there,
having a lil trouble thinking whats happened and need some ideas lol.


I currently have 2 HTPC's set up, both running W8 and XBMC
They both worked fine with MCE RC6 remotes untill a couple days ago.
Now what happens is it works for a couple minutes, enough for you to find something and start it playing
then the remotes just stop functioning for XBMC

They will still control windows as it will hibernate if you press the power button but it just wont control around the menu/play/pause etc

Has this happened to anyone else recently?

Perhaps some other application has grabbed focus away from XBMC?

It seams like that could be it, but i dont know what could be causing it.

Both machines really only have XBMC, Chrome & Classic shell on them.

ive checked as soon as the remote stops working but cant find anything popping up in background.

and found that when i switch back to XBMC the remote works again,
im just minimizing it as soon as the remote stops working to see if anything there

Not sure how to check on anything in the background taking away the focus from xbmc
