Hello everyone,
I am building a new htpc from scratch.
I started the mini-itx build with this case:
http://www.mini-itx.com/store/~NOAH-3988 (80W MAX)
and added:
- i3 4130t (Max TDP: 35W)
- asrock z87e-itx
- zalman cnps2x
- noisblocker 80mm case fan
The motherboard in this case has an 8-pin EPS plug on the motherboard.
The case does not come with that plug so I bought a molex adapter:
http://www.austronic-tech.com.au/res/Ima...S-69BB.jpg
but the machine doesn't boot, it just powers up as soon as I plug it in.
If I use a normal PSU 400W it works as expected, so I am left wondering
How can my set up be more than 80W?
Is the adaptor crappy?
If so what pico-psu would you recommend?
Thanks
