Crash with Kodi 19 after connecting bluetooth headset
#1
Hey all,

I have the following problem with kodi 19:
OS: Windows 10 (latest updates)

Kodi is working fine since I connect my bluetooth headphones. Then it crashes. I can do nothing. So also Alt+F4 or open Task Manager are not working.
I have no problem when the headphones are not connected.

Anybode got the same problem or can help me?
I tried DIRECTSOUND and WASAPI as audio settings and still got the same crash.

Kodi doesn't have a bluetooth driver, it uses the existing audio drivers supplied by either the operating system or device audio. Your issue maybe with the hardware or device drivers supplied by the manufacturer. To set up windows audio follow this Windows audio (wiki). There maybe a tip in this thread. You might want to set systems>settings>system>advanced settings>audio output - enable pass through with wasapi and try a restart.

I just tested it again without the headphones and I get also a freeze. It just happens later.

Just tried it again with a new installed Kodi and I deleted appdata folder before.

Additionally I found at, that it crashes when change the volume or press the windows button.
So if something from the OS will be in front. (Start Menu or Volume panel)

Here is the new log: https://paste.kodi.tv/oziwakezek.kodi

Did anyone now a solution or have the same problem?

Logging wasn't turned on, hence detailed information is not available. From the material provided, it appears you have errors using .rar archives, suggest re-encoding these archives.

Thanks already for your help. I deleted the .rar archives. So they aren't the problem.
Additionally I turned logging on, seeing following link: https://paste.kodi.tv/ajasuvupuw.kodi

The Problem is the same. After changing the volume it freezes.

I just downgraded to Kodi 18.0 and it's working fine for me.

Before that I tried Kodi 18.8 and had the same isues.
So in somewhere between these versions something got changed in Kodi which freezes my PC.
