If one uses shield pro with Kodi maven or omega to output dv and the hdmi out from the shield goes to a 4k player ( like oppo ) will the oppo or the shield player translate the image color? Do we have control ver which one?

Not sure if the hdmi in received the image or the raw data….i think it used to be the former but not sure if that’s still true with the newer builds?

I own an M9201 Oppo UDP-203 clone and a Dune HD Homatics Box R 4K Plus.

I have the Dune connected to the HDMI IN port of the M9201.

If you choose "HDMI IN" in the Oppo menu (so it can apply its video processing), the Dune will not do Dolby Vision at all, only HDR10.

If you choose "HDMI IN BYPASS" in the Oppo menu, the Dune will do Dolby Vision, but you will not have the Oppo's video processing applied.

This has nothing to do with Kodi itself by the way
