TrueHD in MKV crashes
#1
Hi,

the new version of MakeMKV just got released so i wanted to test its new feature to include HD audio tracks in the mkv.
However, xbmc crashes as soon as the TrueHD track starts.
Is this a ffmpeg problem?
Now i'm unsure if i should keep converting my blu-rays to mkvs because i want to keep the highest possible quality so i need the TrueHD / DTS-HD tracks.

TrueHD works fine with XBMC. I have many MKV's with TrueHD sound tracks, and they play great.

I've just tried the new version of MakeMKV (1.4.10beta), it says it now supports all HD audio tracks, and sure enough when I used it on my BlueRay with a TrueHD track it recognized it and extracted it. However when I tried to play it through XBMC, it crashed to the desktop.

ERROR: CDVDPlayerAudio:Big GrinecodeFrame - Decode Error. Skipping audio packet

Therefore I suspect there is an error with MakeMKV extracting TrueHD tracks. Hopefully that will be fixed soon so that I don't have to use "AnyDVD', then "MakeMKV", then get the TrueHD track from the m2ts file with "TSMuxer", then put it all back together with "MergeMKV".
