Ok - i did a proof of concept. This means that it is only a test and will never really be added to xbmc in the way i did. But it would good if could test ut anyways so we can decide if the principal is well understood.

These versions take the first stream found in the mov for now - ignoring the others.

Thank you very much for creating this test version!

It does work, however it's buffering a lot and sound volume is very low.

There are no buffering and volume issues when I play the same stream on my iPhone (via the same internet connection).

You get the 1080p version i guess which might be just to much for your line. Volume issue is unrelated to this test version (since i not even know your operating system i can't suggest anything for that)...

I'm sorry I keep doing this: Running Win7 SP1 x64 Smile

Win and XBMC video settings are indeed 1920x1080. However when I play the same stream in IE with Quicktime, it's not buffering that much.
Also I don't have to put volume all the way up to hear anything like I just had to in XBMC.

Well this whole volume thing is out of scop for this thread imo. You should have the same problem with "official" nightly builds of xbmc aswell i guess.

This happens to the keynote stream only (so volume is correct on iPhone).

However when I play http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/thecounselor/ sound volume is correct in XBMC.

Perhaps there are more issues with this specific mov stream file?

maybe it is aac 5.1 stream and your setup mixes it down to the wrong (non-connected) speakers ...

In XBMC my speakers are set up as 2.1 and "Boost volume level on downmix" is switched on. Any other settings that could cause this issue?

Also, can you please advise if your fix will be implemented in a Nightly build any time soon?

Try setting it to 2.0 (just a guess).

Thanks Ned, I will try but I do have a 2 speakers and a subwoofer connected to my pc.

2.0 - sub will be accessed automagically by your amp through frequency gate ...

Setting the Speaker configuration to 2.0 didn't solve the problem. Sound volume is still very low.

A new problem: Keynote won't play if streamed via Airplay on iOS 7...

When I try to airplay the Keynote from the iPhone to XBMC (Win7) 13.0 Alpha9 (Oct8), following URL is found in the debug log:
http://p.events-delivery.apple.com.edges...od_ref.mov
If I open this URL in Internet Explorer, it allows me to save a file named 13ohbdvohbqsdvojhbdfv09_iphone_vod_ref.mov

This file appears to be a text file. I opened it in Wordpad and found below URL:
http://p.events-delivery.apple.com.edges...d_mvp.m3u8

Now when I open that URL in IE, save it and subsequently open it in Wordpad I get this:

Code:

I hope this will help in adding support for this stream in XBMC! (Hopefully before October 22nd when a new Apple event is
presumably planned Smile )
Please let me know if there's a specific thread that I should post this info in.
