agreed,
you can even go for the CELERON E3400,
its still perfect for 1080P HTPC use!
will eat any XBMC skins too!

XBMCRocksMyBoat Wrote:I don't understand that no developer seems to be busy with this issue.
Just built my HTPC (Core i3 2100T) last week. And I built it mainly for XBMC usage. It is a HUGE disappointment for me that this doesn't work. I'll probably just get a HD6570 for now, and hope they will fix this soon (then I will put the HD6570 in my other PC).
meridius Wrote:just out of interest how do you turn on HW aceleration for ATI or Intel gfx ? for xbmc

Again, only for intel and only for 10.1 official release.
phusebox Wrote:Besides there are no good HD6570 cards with passive cooling.
orion2001 Wrote:Are you sure your thermals are in check and the CPU isn't being throttled? I have a 2100t and haven't had any issues so far without HW acceleration. I still want HW acceleration as I hate the HSF that comes with the 2100t as it is loud and makes a high pitched whine. I have it set to idle at the lowest setting (completely silent), but without HW accel, temps go up and the HSF is audible.
Using MPC-HC with DXVA on the other hand keeps things perfectly silent during playback, and temps are much lower on the whole.
accountabc Wrote:Right now I am looking at ways to work around this problem. The only option I have found so far is using an external player. I'm trying to get MPC-HC to change the refresh rate to 23.976, but somehow that won't work. 24.000 does. I know SB has 24p issues, but I also know XBMC manages to output 23.98hz. Somehow MPC-HC won't do that... Orion2001 (or anyone else), did you run into this problem?
