Mod Bello Fredo [Isengard] - brutally modded with custom home widget support
Finally, with help it works again.

If anyone have the same problem and can't install the skin, the following workaround helps

1. Make a clean install of Kodi v15.2

2. Install Titan-Skin via Kodi (It seems that this will install some dependencies that BelloFredo also uses)

3. Install following addons manually:
- repository.fredsrepo
- service.skin.widgets
- script.artistslideshow
- script.skin.info.service
- script.grab.fanart
- script.skinshortcuts
- script.playalbum

4. Install following addons normal through Kodi:
- Artwork Downloader
- Global Search
- ExtendedInfo Script
- OpenWeatherMap Extended
- Tuneln Radio
- ToolBox Script
- BelloFredo Extrapack <- via Sualfreds Repo

5. Download Skin via Github (or here) and install it manually

6. Now you can choose BelloFredo-Skin in Kodi. It will ask you to install some dependencies, just click ok.

7. Profit! Big Grin

P.S.
Update to Jarvis seems not to be a Problem, at least for my needs Wink

@Tanem Tried your method and failed. After step 6, it throws content provision error. Any way the skin was applied. I went ahead and updated to Jarvis and I ran into the same old problem https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/rpi2-update-...te/15289/1

Can you share it please. It's removed from github

Few days after @Tanem post I tried to install this skin in a fresh install of Kodi 16.2 RC2 on a new Windows 10 install and got an imdb dependency error so the skin didn't install. I then decided to try Tanem method and skin is still working well.

I didn't try installing manually by dropping the uncompressed folder under system addons folder though.

In step #3 you can search and install service.skin.widgets and script.artistslideshow normally so I would put them in #4.

Again this is on Windows so with other OS can vary the functionality and behavior.

@zandegran in step #5 there is a link to skin where it says: (or here) but I'll post it too just in case.

is the "or here" download same as https://github.com/sualfred/bello-fredo-jarvis? I'm running OSMC in Raspberry PI 2

I suppose... you can also download from here (the last versión from github):

FYI:
The Jarvis one never worked completely because it has unfinished code for the widgets, that's why I removed it. You have to use/mod the Isengard one.

@Veronica I'm looking for the contents of https://github.com/sualfred/bello-fredo-jarvis The one you sent is not that, I think.
@sualfred I just need a version that does not crash in 16.1 RC3

Thanks for your time guys.
I'm trying to get my hands on skin.bello-fredo-jarvis-zh_CN.zip
from https://medium.com/@camac/bello-fredo-ko....a6mw2gxo3
It asks password. I'm seeking help of a Chinese friend. He did't get back yet.

Well many have mentioned the isengard version one works better in Jarvis and kripton than the Jarvis one and sualfred just explained why.

I don't know why it crashes on you, must be Linux related but it works fine on Windows . Also I don't know why you mention RC3 if RC2 is the latest build.

https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/rpi2-update-...te/15289/6 This is my prob. The logs are here http://paste.osmc.io/cowonatozo

I updated to this version https://osmc.tv/2016/04/osmcs-april-upda...kodi-16-1/ which says 16.1-RC3 which might be a OSMC notation. Before this update. I was running Jarvis with the original Bello and everything was fine.

I don't have a copy of the Jarvis version. If I were you I would go back to my last working setup or use official Kodi.

One last time: The Jarvis version never worked. The complete widget system wasn't completed. Stop searching for it, I dropped it for reasons.

I'm not "searching" for that version, zandegran was requesting for it, I uploaded last isengard version thinking that was the version he was looking for (trying to help).
As I've mentioned in my posts I use official Kodi 16.1 RC2 with last bello 15.2 build, that setup works for me.

Next time please re-read the whole conversation.

Voila! I found a crude workaround for the original bello (Which does not work for bello-fredo)
Just delete the file .../addons/skin.bello/720p/Custom_DialogOK.xml
and you are good to go.
The only problem is that to go to setting you should go to Home->Power->Settings instead of Home->Settings
I will try to fix this.

This works in OSMC
Can anyone confirm in windows version?

Thanks for the support guys..
