sigh, you're right, it doesnt seem to be in the latest nightly on android. I dont know why! When I built an android version of XBMC myself, the pvr addons were all included in the XBMC apk.
It looks like the official nightlies for android dont have any PVR addons at all, but if you go to "Get Addons" they are listed there, published by TeamXBMC, but ours isnt in the list...

Aha, it was an android build problem introduced on 29 December. The PVR addons are meant to be in android nightlies but were inadvertently removed. Looks like they are back in, as of 14th Jan, but our addon still isnt. Something still needs refreshing somewhere but I am asking about it

that seems to be one of the problems with android, variuos bujild options can be used to enable hardware decoding for different chips etc (if it is supported) but that means lots of different specific builds. I guess xbmc nightlies just pick one particular (armadbi or whatever?) I have also seen reference to things like AMLogic and whatnot. If you are super keen it might be possible to set up a build environment (ubuntu VM) and builkd aversion for your device, depending on device etc

I was wondering if anyone has wmc.pvr succesfully running on a Galaxy S4. I can't get it to work either streaming or with recorded TV. I think it's a problem with WTV files as directly adding a samba share of Recorded TV to Video's and then playing any of my WTV files results in "XBMC has stopped".
I have to add that this is using the nightlies of XBMC gotham.
When I use 12.3 of XBMC for android all works perfectly!

I think you should submit it to the xbmc team. The newest gotham seems to be having trouble with our stuff.

Is that a cable card tuner? Not sure what format digital cable is broadcast in?

Thanks for this PVR addon, it works great on my Windows Machine!
However, I cannot make it work on my Ouya. I tried with both XBMC on Ouya (pvr.wmc-android-arm-0.1.92.zip) and alpha 11 (pvr.wmc-android-arm-0.2.92.zip). The addon enables, I enter the IP address where the server is in "Configure". Then when I enable TV in the settings, XBMC crashes (both versions). Reading the thread it seams it works for everybody else... but me! Any idea what I am doing wrong? Thank you!
Here is the server log using alpha 11:

It (the share) also needs to be writeable for the server so it can save the channel icons there, which from the logs above would seem to be the problem. This only happens when a remote client is involved which is why things worked OK when you ran the client on the same PC as the server (in that case the client uses local paths for channel icons rather than needing them copied into the share path).
I think this bug may have been fixed in the just released ServerWMC version, so you may be able to just update rather than having to open the share up to write access
