Hi,
I know it's more a gadget than a must have but what about a video settings option to play back 3D material - which is nothing else than a video with two pictures side-by-side or top-bottom per frame - as anaglyph video ?
I read that the VLC project has such a filter now:
http://www.videolan.org/developers/vlc/NEWS
If I remember rightly, VLC and XBMC use ffmpeg as their playback library, so maybe it's not that effort to integrate ... could be tested for example with ASTRA 3D Demo channel ..
Could be real fun - simply enter the magic word "anaglyph" into youtube search and you'll find a lot of movie trailes converted to anaglyph ..
