Device Drivers?
#1
Hi,

I think that this might not be the right forum to ask, but I'll give it a try anyway. Does anyone here know if it is possible to write device drivers for modded xboxes? If so could anyone point me in the right direction. What I would like to do is to add support for NDAS (Ximeta) to the xbox and this requires adding a new device driver. I have written device drivers for Windows and Linux for a number of years however I don't know if it is possible to add new drivers to the xbox. Any information would be of interest. Perhaps I should talk to the bios guys instead?

Regards,

Viktor

It is possible but you need to alter the kernel sources and every app which would like to use it needs to be recompiled with the new libraries.
There's a document floating arround describing how to add device drivers. Would be nice if someone could break the 4GB mass storage limit Wink
