These work great if configured right, I replace the Android OS with Linux and find they run nearly as good as my new €700,00 htpc.
If you add a Logitech k400 keyboard your good to go.

Sorry if i sound noob, but is it easy to replace the android OS with a linux OS? Do I need a specific version of linux? What about drivers?

There are plenty of write ups on her and elsewhere on the web.
The process is simple enough, people will have different preferences on which version runs best for them, no driver are needed.
It also depends on how you intend to use XBMC if you are going to stream your own content from a NAS Android and Gotham may work just fine for you.
If you going to configure XBMC to watch addons for the different types of web content compatible with XBMC then Linux would be the way to go, this does away with Android completely and boots directly to XBMC.

Also, we can't help you with questions on bootleg video add-ons per our

Finally my Android TV has arrived. I have to say that this is a superafast mini pc but there is unfortunately a problem. Everything is working perfect except the video resolution. It gives a maximum resolution of 1280x672p. Does anyone know a solution for this?

I can't see the link you posted to what box to got . Have you tried changing the display setting in xbmc ? Is the res only 672p in xbmc ? If not then you need to look at the android setting on the box itself for the display settings .
