Linux OpenELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17)
I did disable the addon for hyperion and at first look it does not freeze. You are genius but now i have to find the cause of the hyperion freeze, do you have any hint?
Hyperion does not freeze. On stop it will freeze with boblight and so on ... something recently has changed in the way resources are teared down when player stops. It smells like a deadlock.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
And in that case what can be done? Hyperion fix or. something on kodi side? Funny is that it freezes only with addon when used with framebuffer it does not (it means rpi is not affected). Can it be related to https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/8613

And from the moment it has appeard it could be https://github.com/iLLiac4/script.service.hyperion related.
Funny is that the freeyes do not accure on intel 1037u with the same build.
RenderManager is blocking forever ... I am trying to find out why at the moment ... has semi nothing to do with the addon itself.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
Ok tnx for helping.
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/9134 <- will be solved when this is in.

TNX will test when next build is available and report back.

Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
How to troubleshot bluetooth? I use ps3 BD remote and sometimes after some long idle time it stops working. In other cases connection is reestablished and works perfect. When it doesn't work bluetoothctl shows that connection is up. But pressing the buttons doesn't give anything in the kodi debug log.
Drop pvr.vuplus from build

Noooooooooooooouuuuuu!

Aaargh this is the worst news ever for us Enigma2-receiver owners.

Could you please try to keep pvr.vuplus included in your builds, pretty please @Milhouse ...

Hacking in a quick & dirty fix to keep it working doesn't change the fact nobody is currently interested in maintaining pvr.vuplus so you're better off finding an alternative, submitting some patches or finding someone willing to maintain the add-on...

Hacking in a short term fix doesn't help you in the long term, it just fools you into believing this add-on is still viable when it's probably not. Not hacking in a temporary fix may hopefully lead to a proper solution appearing sooner than it would otherwise.

If suitable patches are submitted upstream I'll happily reintroduce this add-on, but until then it's sadly broken.

pvr.vuplus will be back when API 5.0.0 is merged: https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.vuplus/pull/39

Hopefully API 5.0.0 will merge tomorrow, in which case pvr.vuplus should return in the Friday build.

Thanks for the VERY good news Milhouse.

It looks that it is working now.
Hi, I was using Fritsch builds but noticed themes weren't working after an update so changed to your build Milhouse.

Am still seeing that i can't download themes, and once changed from a theme you can't change back, it will stay on Confluence and refuse to change, the log says about not being able to find certain xml files.

So is this broken at the moment or should it work?

Regards,

Simon
