It's not crashing, it just doesn't like your AMD Vega GPU.

Can you install #1209x again, connect with ssh and run:

journalctl -a | paste
paste /var/log/Xorg.0.log
then post both urls. Thanks.

Ok thanks, looks like AMD have some work to do to fix their amgpu driver. Hopefully it will improve in the next few weeks with new release candidates - please continue testing and feeding back! Smile

Hi @Milhouse I want to go back to 9.2 but when I do so I still get the "the dependency on xbmc.python version 3.0.0 could not be satisfied"  error message (just like with my current #917 build) and cannot install PVR addons at all. Is there a workaround to go back to a stable release and have PVR? Also should said error message appear with 9.2 at all?

It's possible the Kodi install is a bit confused after the downgrade - maybe Addons27.db needs to be removed, or while using Kodi 19 you've downloaded an updated v3.0.0 Python add-on dependency that is now confusing Kodi 18. Short answer is I don't know for sure, but a clean .kodi install should work, however before you go that route try clearing out .kodi/addons and removing .kodi/userdata/Database/Addons27.db.

@TheRealDeadMan please try 5.5-rc2 as this includes several amdgpu fixes, including this one which may be relevant to the issue you experienced (or it may not, as I also found references to these gpu timeouts with 5.2, 5.3 and even 5.4).

build #1217x: Generic
Installed and seems to be working fine.
Ran/skipped through a few files with various encode settings, x265, x264, 444, 422, 420, etc. No problems or hiccups.
Youtube app crashed Kodi though, but I don't think that would be related to anything you have done. I will look for updates on that.
Installed the current Aeon Nox: Silvo the other day as well, and that continued to work too.
Let me know if you would like to see any logs or any other data.

Thanks for the update Smile

The YouTube crashlog might be interesting.

Build #1217x

Just upload the usual Kodi crashlog?
http://ix.io/24Pn

I started Youtube app today, and just let it sit for awhile and it did start, and I could access the subscriptions, etc, although they propagate very slowly each time I access them. Starting and stopping videos is slow as well. I have good network speed, so that isn't a problem. Better than dialup.

As a test, I rebooted the system, started the Youtube app again - it was taking awhile, so I clicked OK a few times, then clicked Home, and it managed to crash Kodi again at this poiint. So it can be reproduced.
Crash log for this fresh one:
http://ix.io/24Px

Something else I just came across while uploading the logs; the LibreElec Config settings menus draw out very slowly, where-as all other sections under Settings work fine.
