[LINUX] High (100%) CPU on main menu & videos screens
#1
I am running XBMC on Ubuntu Lucid. The system is running fine except that the CPU goes to 100% whenever I am on the main menu or in the "Videos" section: the interface slows significantly and it becomes difficult to use the system. All other sections are fine and the CPU drops as soon as I navigate off of main or "Videos".

If it helps, I'm running on a Core 2 Duo, 945 chipset, Intel integrated graphics.

When the CPU goes to 100% it's all used by "xbmc.bin". How can I find out what is chewing up the CPU inside of this process? I've tried running XBMC with "XBMC --debug" but there's no console output - there must be another way to get debug output that I don't know about.

What else can I do to debug this issue?
