dual setup with htpc (LCD monitor + reciever)
#1
was wondering if anyone had experince with the following situation?

my HTPC motherboard has an HDMI which i use with my LCD monitor
my video card GT430 i use the HDMI to send to my reciever for bitstreaming

i can get bitstreaming to work perfeectly using MPC-HC with ffdshow

but what i wanted was to have a diff profile so i can watch the bluray rips (m2ts/mkv with either dts-hd or dolby-hd decoded) on my LCD monitor

what i have tried so far is to make a copy of the mpc-hc exe and change it to have it decoding the audio/video but that affects the other copy of mpc which is setup for bitstreaming..

i was thinking i can use VLC for watching movies on my LCD and let mpc-hc control the bitstreaming (its also tied to my XBMC)

so if anyone has experince with this or know how to set it up properly.. please let me know?

thanks!!

Why don't you use MPC-HC for bitstreaming and XBMC for decoding?

I have mine set so it automatically plays the BD rip with MPC-HC streaming to my receiver.
If I wanted to play without MPC-HC I select the context menu and select DVDPlayer and let XMBC decode the audio.
