Hey guys,
I've been using XBMC on my 1st gen. AppleTV for a couple of years now, and I'm pretty happy with it. I discovered that the best format for this hardware are 720 XviD movies, I get no stutter, dropped frames or audio sync issues. They all just play nice and 90% of my HD collection is in this format.
However, I would like to get the 2nd gen. Apple TV to take advantage of AirPlay with my iPad and a couple of iPod Touch from family and friends. I read something regarding this new hardware, the most terrifying being the case that the 2nd. gen Apple TV has problems with 720p content in XviD/DivX and that I should use H.264/x.264 instead. Is this true? I can't spend months converting my library, I don't wanna do that...
Has anyone tried 720p content in XviD with the new ATV?
