Just a quick solution I found for anybody experiencing "can't initialise audio.." error when using this card, or maybe other cards. When I boot up xbmclive and play a movie (h264 mkv in my cae) I get no audio and the error. If after boot up I firstly go into audio mixer and mute iec958 at the top of the selections then play a movie, analog audio works fine. These mute iec958 is not retained after reboot so I have to set it every time.
