The screensaver on my xbmc installation shows fanart of movies that are long gone so I figure that xbmc does not clean the cache assosiated with movies that is removed on video db cleanup. Would it be an idea to do this?

nice - thanks for the link.

Still think the cleanup routine would be the correct place to also clean associated cached thumbs though.
