Play XviD movies on DVD on ATV2 using a mac
#1
I have a collection of Xvid's burned to dvd. If I load the dvd in my mac's drive bay, how do I go in adding the dvd drive to XBMC in ATV2? Do I need to enable something in Settings first?
I could just transfer the movies from dvd to the HD but I would rather not.

Many thanks!

The same way you would share any folder or drive. System Preferences -> Sharing -> File sharing -> Options

Enable SMB (Windows sharing)

While "File Sharing" option still selected you can add folders and drives to be shared. The only down side is you probably have to do this for each disc you put in, since the name will change.
