Is it worth trying this stuff with XBMC Live?

Actualy i am running a C2D E8400 @ 2000 Mhz with 4GB Ram and a passiv cooled GF 9500GT

Next week i will get a Gigabyte GA-D510UD with an Intel Atom D510 CPU.
My goal would be less power needings and some more silence in my living room.

So im wondering if this will work for all kind of SD / HD Vids:

Gigabyte with Atom D510
GF9500GT
2GB DDR2 Ram

Im getting this board anyway, but if it isnt worth trying for HD-Movies, then this board goes down to the basement for serving some files ;-)

Atom + 9500GT = Flawless 1080P (using Hardware Accel)

In won't work.

The Atom can't play HD material on it's own, and the integrated graphics in that motherboard doesn't do have Hardware decoding for videos. Even worse, that motherboard only has a PCI expansion slot, while your card is most likely a PCI express one, son you can't use it.

You must look for an Atom motherboard with a PCI express expansion slot OR one with NVIDIA ION/ION2 graphic card. AMD also has some nice options which will do the job.
