Hi guys!
I installed XBMC on Ubuntu LTS 10.4.2. I created an xbmc user account with XBMC which is used as the window manager in this account.
The CPU is an Intel E8400, the GPU is an ATI 4670 and 4 GB of RAM are installed. There is a Microsoft MCE IR receiver and a Logitech Harmony One remote control, and an iiYama 27’’ LCD. XBMC works perfectly, except DVD drives unfortunately. (very fine software!)
Initially I had two drives:
- Samsung SH-S223L
- PLDS DH-16A6S
With two players it worked very badly. (one of two about functional: the Philips, but strange mouse responses and errors in the logging file)
With the Samsung alone it does not work.
With the Philips alone it works perfectly.
But both work perfectly in Ubuntu! It is very strange…
Does anyone have any idea about this?
