Library Mode Not Showing Movie Information/Fanart/Thumb, but shows in File Mode
#1
Question
I've been trying to figure this out for over a week now. I kept thinking I was scraping content incorrectly. But when I am in my Movie's File Mode, everything works fine. I can:
  • See the fanart
  • See the thumb
  • Open Movie Information and change both of the above

But when I switch to Library Mode, I see all the titles, but it just shows auto-thumbnails from the movie stills. I do not see any fanart. When I click Movie Information nothing happens.

I also noticed that if I manually update the thumb/fanart in the movie information while in file mode, these things will show in library mode when I switch back into it (I still cannot access movie information though in library mode). Also, View types that show movie information/details/plot work in library mode, but I still cannot access the movie information window.

I've already done a clean renaming of all my folders/files, so the scraping is working fine (as evidenced by fanart/thumbs/movie info loading fine in file mode).

Can someone PLEASE help me figure this out? I want the sweet organization of library mode, but also want the movie information and fanart/thumb.

THANKS!

Question
I've been searching and searching..All of my media prior to October of 2011 shows thumbnails, fanart, and movie info.

Anything new I add, even though I can see the files in explorer, shows NOTHING.

I use MediaCenter Master to scrape my data. I have since I built my box 3 years ago. So nothing has changed on this unit or with my data.

Yet if I refresh the media info, I am told that data exists, but I still have to ignore and refresh from the internet. After that is done, everything shows up fine.

What gives?

Same problem as first post. All movies in file mode have info and images, but in library mode only about 40% have info accessible and right thumbnails .

How to solve this?
I tried to rename the movie database and re-add the folder as source but nothing changed.

Thanks!

Hi Guys

This is kinda the same issue I am having. No one seems to know the answer yet. However on youtube and stuff there are videos that show people successfully adding a share and the fan art working Im doing the exact same steps but no success.

Not sure if I explained my problem clearly in an earlier post.

Here is my XBMC with all my TV Shows stored on that PC

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/829...al2tu.jpg/

As you can see all the fanart and info is scrapped. And when you type C the menu comes up with TV Show Information.

OK so that is all fine

My problem is I have another PC with nothing on it except Windows 7 and XBMC
I added source from SMB and set content to TV Shows

Here is the result

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/38/newshare.jpg/
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/845/newshare2.jpg/

As you can see the metadata info has scrapped but the fanart has not. Now there is no way to access TV Show Information when I press C. So how do I get the fanart to display over the SMB share?

I did an export to single file and imported it but it does not solve the issue.

Can anyone help with this.

Cheers.

The only way the TV Show Information option doesn't display is if content isn't set on the folder or a parent thereof. By specifying the exact contents of your sources.xml we may be able to track down the reason.
