When scanning movies into the database sometimes it will scan the file and put an extra file by the same name in the directory - for example.

Scarface (1983)
Scarface (1983).mkv 30GB
It would put .Scarface (1983).mkv 300KB

The Library will read the 300KB file and give an error saying file cannot be played. How do I stop it from putting the .file in the directory when scanned?

Kind of unusual error... sure the file added wasn't .tbn thumbnail file... with the byte size, it probably is a thumb. rename it .jpg and see if it's an image.

Scarface (1983)
Scarface (1983).mkv 30GB
.Scarface (1983).mkv 300KB

What is the first file? it doesnt have an extension... perhaps that's the trip up.
You only need 1 video file in a folder.
