does anyone else have this issue and know to fix:

i want to stream the trailer so i don't select "download" or "save". when i try to play a trailer, it goes through the motion of caching and when that part is complete the dialog box just disappears and nothing happens. except at the bottom of the screen it says "saving data..."

it's quite possible that you're running into the same problem that i was. with my resolution at 1080i 16x9 i've had that happen or more recently had it hang on a black screen instead of playing, but if i switch down to 640p it works flawlessly. well, flawlessly other than hanging if you try to exit while that it reports that it's saving data. you might want to give that a try.

mouton, it sounds like life has been keeping you pretty busy. is there a chance you might be ready to come back for the sake of the masses who aren't any good at code?

i have the exact same issue... once it's done saying "saving data" it doesn't stream or anything.

if i choose to download the trailer, though, it will download it and start playing once it downloads the whole thing.

any ideas how to get it working the good old way (click-and-stream)?

this all started once i got the latest build.

i just installed the 30 august t3ch build (full delete of old version including savegames).

it came with quiktimebrowser 1.36a. works fine, i can play movies, but xbmc crashes if i leave it. what could be wrong?

as far as i can tell this build is the latest (both xbmc and qtb), there should be no garbage left on my xbox but still the crashes...

also when i exit quicktimebrowser i get to see the scripts folder for a second and if i look at quicktimebrowser.py it seems to indicate: still running.

before you can "leave" quicktimebrowser you must let it save it's data. it actually says at bottom when it's saving data, wait ca 10 seconds after having watched a trailer before you try and "leave"

that was it! on the one hand i feel like a dumbass, on the other hand this is a very simple way to crash the xbox. i was used to aqtbrowser and never had this before.

yes it is indeed a rather silly bug, doubtful if it will ever be fixed (atleast by original author).

i wonder if any python devs might take a crack at fixing it ?

problem: while quicktimebrowser is busy saving, and you try and exit, whole xbox freeze

suggestion: disallow user to exit while saving is taking place.

v1.37 doesn't work on my xbox.

ok, ooba didn't work too so i suspected the _xmlplus files and i revert them to the xbmc cvs of 03-10 and ooba now works again but quicktimebrowser still doesnt' work.

ok, quicktimebrowser runs but can't show any trailer, samething like 1.36a
