Playback does not seem right - help/suggestions?
#1
Hi,
I'm using OpenElec on AcerRevo3700.

I've followed the guides my on my revo bios there is no option to set the ipgu.

I'm streaming smoe 720p tv series (and also playing directly from USB so not a network issue) and they are ever so slightly jerky.

Jerky as in when a charachter is talking they seem to speed up ever so slightly and then go slow again. Also lip sync does not seem perfect and also the picture itself seems a little bit dark.

Any thoughts on what to adjust or what this might be please?

Thanks.

Any thoughts? Sometimes it is slow as well, almost slow motion but not quite.

Please turn on debug logging in XBMC and post a debug log.

To expand on this a bit: the debug log will tell us a lot about how XBMC is configured and that may give some clues. Also if you select the most problematic file and play it until you notice problems there may be some clues logged during the playback.

So, enable debug logging from System settings, System, Debugging then close XBMC. Start XBMC, wait a minute or two for any startup tasks, e.g. library updates, to finish, then play a problem video. After you've noticed playback problems close XBMC again and post the xbmc.log to http://pastebin.com/. See http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Log_File for how to find xbmc.log.

Thanks - i've not posted the output as contains my user/pass but think the issue may now be fixed.

I disabled subtitles as per another thread I read someone had a similiar problem and it fixed it. I can't find the link anymore though.

Has anyone heard of this before!?
