What is the File Manager for?
#1
When setting up my media I usually just go into either movies or tv shows and add a source but notice they dont show up under the file manager. What is that for?

The File Manager requires it's own separate sources setting up.

To be honest, while the File Manager was useful on the XBox version of XBMC, on the Windows or *nix versions I always use the operating system for file management.

Not if you are running the live version or don't want to leave xbmc.

I basically agree, though as long as it's of use to someone there's no reason to remove it from XBMC. I'm unconvinced that it's that much use even in XBMCLive as I'd guess most Live users have their media on a network server and manage the media from there.
