I think it would be a gread addon/plugin (whatever) if you could start a face rocognition when paused a movie.

All the plugin has to do is to take a screenshot of the current scene, scan it for faces and compare them with the images of the known actors of this movie.

I think there are open source tools for face recognition.
So the difficult part might be already done.

What do you think?
Would anybody be able to develope such a plugin?

it would be but the algorithm for this would cost an arm and a leg. Google has that money.
