Conditional animation for music visualization??
#1
How can I trigger an animation within the music visualization for when the song is changed. I seen a trac ticket awhile back for musicplayer.onnext and musicplayer.onprevious, but did not see it ever committed.

Is this possible with a script or just not something that can be done at the moment. Thanks!

It's possible with a script... you might check out my playerevents script (link in my signature).

I thought you had something like that. Correct me if I am wrong, but your script will launch a kai toast notification based on what looked like visibility conditions of buttons.

I am not top of the board when it comes to coding with the use of scripts, so I guess my question is what would be the proper coding for my conditional in my animation for next and previous song with the use of your script?

I plan to add such functionality (http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/11161) but first need to clean up mess we have with Player. / VideoPlayer. / MusicPlayer. getting rid of two last and allow using just generic first one.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forums before posting.
Do NOT e-mail Team-XBMC members asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but is scriptevents still the only way to do this? I see the bugticket was closed without being resolved, so I take it the functionality pieh planned to implement never was?
