Hi , I am a Linux and XBMC noob, I have migrated over to Ubuntu Oneric + XBMC Dharma from Windows + Meedio. I have managed to finally set it all up and it seems to be running OK .. I have 2 questions, but will post the second in another thread, so as to keep this one to the point.

In Meedio, I used to split my movies into 3 (cartoons, HD Movies, Divx movies), and in XBMC it seems to bundle them all together if I use library mode ..
I do very much like library mode, and so does the wife, but presenting the kids with an intermingled library of movies isnt ideal. Id prefer to only show them cartoon thumbnails or fanart to choose from if you get my meaning

Is there an easy way to do this that Im missing

You can do that with playlists. I do it by setting up a separate kids profile, with separate sources scanned to the library.
