I have to setup an HTPC for a friend of mine.
The system will be based on XBMC Live, with added mythbackend for tv recordings and maybe a p2p client running in bg.
I think an Asrock ION 3D may be a good candidate for his needs, but before let him buy it, I'd like to have a feedback on how it performs on XBMC Live from someone who already owns it, as I have no direct experience with Atom/ION2 systems.
Although I've seen around some comments from people who is generally satisfied with it, I'd like to known in particular:
1) Is it capable of handling 1080i deinterlacing? Even if it's not capable of spatial/temporal, temporal or even bob may be enough for him.
2) Does sound over HDMI work?
3) How does the WiFi card perform? He need to play 1080p .mkv files from an external storage through Samba over Wifi ad I'm a bit worried about the performance of this particular WiFi adapter.
4) How does the remote work? I've read someone who complains about the low sensitivity...
