is it possible to push an image (with text) on top of a running video using python ? (better yet, to let it fade after 3 seconds or so)
this is done with the visualisations as well, that is why i am wondering.

the yac script does this.
you can basically use a window or dialog that is not full screen.

i see what you are saying, however, i already have a window and want to have a videoplaying and on top of the video some overlay window. i don't get this to work (because of the existing window?)
