Help with CIR
#1
OK just finished my build installed XBMC live. Got my motherboard (asrock H67M-ITX) which came with CIR module and remote. Switched it on and remote doesn't work.(I was under the impression it worked atraight out of the box).My question is ,how can I check (A) that the remote is actually sending key presses to xbmc (to make sure it isnt wired up incorrectly) and (B) if working where to find the keymap.xml.

([Mini-ITX] Pentium-G620 (2x2.6Ghz) + GT210)

You didn't give us much to work on. What version of xbmc-live are you using and which version of ubuntu is in the xbmc-live.

grep dmesg for cir and mce to see if the kernel based driver is loading. If so you can test your remote using ir-keytable, see my post below

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=114124

if you are running natty or latter for ubuntu, you can set up your remote according to my post above.

Your remote needs to be an MCE RC6 compatible remote for my post to work.
