I am considering changing my current system (An Acer Revo 3600 running Openelec) for an ATV1 with Broadcom Chip in order to achieve a silent system.
Which chip will I need, and will then end result match the performance I am used to?
Thanks in advance.

The Acer Revo 3600 is based around nVidia's ION platform however I think Openelec uses the open source GPU driver rather than nvidia's so I'm not sure if vdpau is present. If vdpau is present, then it will out run the crystalhd in terms of video decoding performance and flexibility.

The vdpau option is still available, and I think the playback on all my files is flawless (to my eyes).
What issues am I likely to experience with the ATV1/Broadcom set up?
