Hi,
Here is my story :
I was a very happy Asus 1201NL owner since 2 years, but lost it in a burglary
Goods points of 1201NL are/was :
- Ion GPU able to play 1080p through VDPAU in Xbmc
- HDMI and sound output work great
- small and lightweight
- cheap (between 300 to 400€)
I was using it for two differents things :
1) writing code (Python and others), and working on Openoffice documents
2) connecting it to any television during holidays for watching movies and make childrens happy (and parents can drink alcool during cartoons session ...)
Sadly, I must forget it now and look at a new hardware solution.
- Intel has decided to integrate its *shity* graphics chip in Atom, and after reading lots of comments about it, it's really not the solution I'm looking for.
Or maybe I'm wrong ?
- Nvidia laptop and mini laptop are very rares, and old.
Again, am I wrong in writting this ?
- ATI ... I've decided some years ago to not using ATI hardware anymore (I'm Linux fan) because this companny was unable to produce any decent driver for its product.
What about ATI now ? Did they change or not ?
Is there any one here who know hardware that can fill in all my requests ?
I must admit I've been away of these hardware problematics for a long time, that's why I post here to ask for help
Thanks for your answers
