Hello,

OK now this is my first time with XBMC live, used to use the windows version for drivers compatibility.

During installation, I faced a problem that it didn't identify my network port.
so I chose to continue.

After the installation I was ready to go, and all is good except xbmc doesn't recognize any Ethernet connection whatsoever.

I haven't tested the installation on HD movies since they are all on the server, and no way to play except on network.

What should I do? please advice..

the NIC is onboard of the ASROCK PV530 microATX.

What's the output of dmesg | grep eth?

You'll probably get a lot of things that match, but you should look for something like "eth0" or "eth1". It could be that, for some reason, eth0 is getting renamed the eth1 or something similar.

Also, do you have anything in /etc/network/interfaces?
