Channel switch issue
#1
Currently running XBMC PVR from pulse eight repos with date 26.01.2012 with VDR and xvdr.
My complete installtion is based on the guide:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=114368

My current trouble is that i sometimes can not switch to another channel. The little buffer windows in the upper right corner comes up but channel switch is not finalized. Sometime it take just very long, sometime it takes forever.

Hope someone can help.

I have more info from vdr log.
Maybe vdr is the issue.

... and I still hope for your help:

This is the part where channel switching takes very long (check timestamps):

Issue is maybe "frontend 0/0 timed out while tuning to channel ...".

I have to add that this happens only on specific channels!
90% work well, the other 10% in my channel list cause this issue, always the same channels.

Any idea?

I think this is definitely the case. It could be a driver/hardware problem. If you have this while you're tunning to a channel vdr cannot do anything because the driver is telling that it cannot lock on a frequency.

i checked with new kernel 3.2, seems to have better drivers for my TechnoTrend S2-3200
