i run on ion 330 all work flawlessly... cant be more happy ... usually i spend a day trying to get everything to work.

I have to agree - I took the plunge today and it's been a very good experience. I have an Asrock ION 330 that I setup, and it 'just works'. Very nice work!

no ir remote issues huh? this is way worse then the old 9.11 for me, but im finding out that the issues isn't xbmc, but changes in the linux kernel, looks like installing the remote this time around will be even worse :&

I'm gonna hold off upgrading as it took me ages to get my remote and wake/sleep on lan to work before.

I'll wait and see what others experiences of these two areas is first.

No worries, it can shutdown the system as well now i know on the old one there was shut down problem ...

the remote works flawlessly... no issues at all.. i installed absolute nothing

since i use spdif - to get 5.1 to work all i did was enable HDA NVidia - iec958 - 0 (also) in :

settings -> system -> audi -> passsthrough output device

and select HDMI instead of iec958 if you use hdmi.

For what it's worth, I have an HP USB IR receiver and a harmony remote and it worked without me installing anything. I also didn't have to do any ssh'ing into the box to get the audio working, though I did have to go into the system settings an change my audio output to HDMI. Anyway, it's good to see these changes for sure.

my remote works out of the box (harmony) but when resume from suspend, it stops working, seem to be a universal issue for everyone, as it's something f***ed up with ubuntu and not xbmc, there's no fix for it, i may have to downgrade linux to some version prior to 10 to get lirc to work properly from suspend

Yeah that's a deal breaker for me with Eden live. I wont be upgrading until somebody can find a fix for it.

I have harmony 1100 and 885 remote, however i dont use that for asrock as i have gyration remote for that, however i tested the standard remote which came with ION330. I will test it today and let u know whether harmony remotes work or not for me after standby

Same problem with the integrated kernel support (no lirc) and a soundgraph imon. harmony configured as media center remote.

Did not work out of the box (but was easy to setup). Will stop working after resume as the device /sys/class/rc/rc0 changes to rc1.
Even calling ir-keytables again with a -d and the correct device will not bring it back although ir-keytable accepts the command

I have a generic remote (RC6) which, with a little tweaking, works well with suspend/wakeup with no issues after wakeup.

To enable wakeup you need to enable both the USB port (as previously) AND the device itself (which seems to be a "feature" in later kernels): http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=835...stcount=35

If your remote stops working after wakeup, try deleting the already included 99-lirc script from /etc/pm/sleep.d/ (IIRC this was fix for this problem in earlier kernels, which may not be required now for some IR USB remotes)
