Hi all;
I have recently installed XBMC on my computer and absolutely love it. The issue I have is I am using the Microsoft Remote and IR receiver to control XBMC. I want the green button to start XBMC when it is not running and go to the home screen when it is. Problem is when I press the green button Windows MCE tries to start. Is there a way to disable Windows Media Center and get the green button to do what I want it to do, or do I have to use a different version of Windows? I hope that isn't the case.

I am running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 rollup 2. Thanks for your help in advance.

first thing i would do is uninstall mce. then i would look at using auto hot key to remap the button.


you can have it look to see if xbmc is running, and if its not then launch it or if it is, send a keypress.

im sure there are other ways of doing it, just google using mce remote with xbmc. there are lots of articals out there
