Hi there,
having used some remote apps, I always feel like something's missing, especially when watching a movie.
Why not stream the XBMC interface (screen content) exactly as it is on the htpc to a tablet ? Just the same as streaming a desktop... If you're watching a movie: show/stream the movie !
This means you would need to be able to use the touch interface of your tablet to control to control XBMC remotely. No redefined interface: see the screen just as it is on your HTPC. If you're watching a movie, you can control the movie menu's directly by simply touching the tablet screen
I experimented myself a bit: I installed a desktop streaming app called "splash desktop" on my Android advice and on my HTPC. Though there's room for optimisation, I can do exactly what I describe above...
Perhaps there are people who have found something better that can do all that and perhaps more or better ?
And it would be even neater if that were to be integrated in XBMC and the XBMC remote app
Edit: the app sends audio too...
Kind regards,
Cooled.
