Eden live and dotXBMC
#1
The Dharma live iso image could be put onto USB (via e.g. unetbootin) and run from there. Even with pure live-run without installation it was possible to save the settings, which were stored into dotXBMC directory on the USB.

It looks liek the settings are not saved between reboots for Eden beta3 live iso run from USB.

Is there any mechanism in Eden, similar to dotXBMC in Dharma, that allows storing settings when run from USB without installation?

you need to use a persistency file "casper-rw" and all changes (system/user/xbmc) will be saved within that file. Use unetbootin or lili with the persistent option.
